Import multiple load cases from pcf files

We are trying to reduce the steps required to edit piping in initial design. We have multiple transients that all have to be accounted for. In order to hold a consistent model, we are trying to make any and all changes in SolidWorks and import into Autopipe. This has become challenging while evaluating 6 known thermal cases that all affect the piping in odd ways.

    Travis,

I think the simplest approach would be to use the same attributes #1 for pressure and #2 for temperature and include multiple comma separated entries. eg Component-Attribute1 100, 150, 200 for 3 entries. Would you CAD model support this?

    Phil,

I think we can make this function as a workaround. My hope was to be able to claim a number of attributes (say 11-20) or other metadata sets (say Case#Temp, etc) to have additional cases for only T/P, even if we didn't get the full 6 cases. If this isn't possible, we can work through populating into an additional text doc. The concern from my side is we are trying to limit the number of places changes must be tracked. This would give us another program/file that must be updated after a change in the model.

Thanks for the Idea Travis. I spoke with the support team about this and viewed your data. We can map one pair of P/T information if it exists in the first 10 Component Attributes, but not any more. Creating another level of mapping to separate different load cases would require some work. Since then amount of attributes used varies from one user to the next, would some way to select an attribute and pick the mapping be a solution. We would still have to be able to manage the additional level required to accommodate multiple load cases.

For PXF import we support an additional text file called LINELIST.TXT this is used to bring in various P/T information and assign them to line numbers within the model. Would this be a solution for you if we can support this in PCF?
