We have a pressure vessel that must be designed in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1. However, for full face gasket flanges, the software by default performs the calculations according to PD 5500 (Slip-on loose flange – BS/PD 5500 §3.8.4). possibility to calculat this typ of flange using the Taylor Forge method (Bulletin 502) and in compliance with the ASME code, substituting the Y (term involving K) coefficient with Y' (Wide Face) =11.315((1/K)^7.5+0.2285) as specified in the AS standard.
